THE KEY IDEA

The outer shape is one part of the decision. Ask for the complete component configuration to be confirmed for your product format.

Name the format and the user experience

Start by describing the product and how it will be applied. A lipstick project, a liquid lip product and a mascara project require different conversations about the pack. A shared color or silhouette does not establish that their component sets are interchangeable.

Tell your supplier which part of the application experience matters most to your concept. Keep the discussion connected to the formula format and the filling partner’s requirements, not only to a reference image.

Ask about every relevant component

Request the configuration of the proposed model and identify which components are included in the quotation. Where a wand, brush, wiper or mechanism is relevant, ask for its details to be confirmed and for samples appropriate to your review.

Avoid inferring a component material, capacity or mechanism specification from a styled photograph. Use a drawing or identified sample, then keep the confirmed details attached to the model code.

  • Model code and assembled dimensions.
  • Target fill and relevant component specifications.
  • Application or mechanism requirements to be reviewed.
  • Decoration areas and matching components across the collection.

Plan a filled-product review

Ask the responsible parties to agree what should be evaluated with the actual product. Keep questions about fit, function and formula–packaging compatibility separate from visual approval. Aptar’s beauty services similarly describes functional and compatibility testing as specific laboratory activities.

Build a short, comparable model list

Choose a few candidates and compare them using the same fields. Ask the same questions about quantity, artwork, sample scope and timing for each model. Record unknowns instead of filling them with assumptions.

The MCPA product library groups lipstick, lip gloss and mascara packaging separately. Use those groups to start the conversation, then confirm the exact configuration with the team.

Product specifications, available configurations and approval steps must be confirmed for your selected MCPA model.
