Start with the formula format and how it will be filled and used. Confirm each proposed component instead of choosing a pack by its outer appearance.
Define the formula format first
Tell your packaging supplier whether the project is for a pressed powder or a loose powder product. Describe the application experience and the target fill, with units clearly stated. Ask your formulation and filling partners to identify the requirements they need the packaging to meet.
A compact case and a loose powder container are separate sourcing conversations. They may share a color direction, but a similar silhouette cannot establish that their internal component arrangements suit the same product.
Identify the complete component set
For a proposed compact, ask which pan or insert, closure, mirror and accessories are included. For a proposed loose powder container, ask what internal dispensing or sifting arrangement is offered, if any, and how it is assembled. Keep these as questions until confirmed for the selected model.
Discuss applicator storage and the experience of opening and closing the pack. Record the exact model and sample reference so that comments on one structure are not applied to another.
- Product format and target fill.
- Internal component configuration to confirm.
- Mirror, puff or other accessory requirements.
- Filling and assembly information to review.
- Appearance references and quantity by version.
Compare candidates using the same fields
Prepare a short comparison with one row per model. Leave unknown dimensions, materials and capacities open for confirmation. When you ask for a quotation, make sure the listed accessories and decoration scope are the same across candidates.
The MCPA library includes compacts, palettes and loose powder containers. The catalogue images illustrate presentation options; request the drawing and identified sample needed to understand the actual structure.
Agree how the sample will be reviewed
Separate appearance review from the questions your filled product needs to answer. Identify who will review filling, component fit, handling and formula contact, and ask what samples or information each party needs.
Before approval, bring the confirmed model, drawing, artwork and sample decision into one record. Ask for MOQ, sample scope and timing to be confirmed for that exact project.
Product specifications, available configurations and approval steps must be confirmed for your selected MCPA model.
